Personal touch.

Regelmatig krijg ik het verzoek om een “Personal touch.” te ontwerpen voor iemand. Vaak gaat het dan om een sieraad. Bij een sieraad is juist “The personal touch” van belang. De klant komt met een vraag, een wens. Het is belangrijk om, door goed te luisteren, de essentie van de vraag te vertalen naar een ontwerp. Het doel is dat zowel de klant als ik blij worden van het eindresultaat. Dat kan volgens mij alleen bereikt worden door aan het hele proces van vraag, ontwerp en creatie een persoonlijke draai te geven is. De wens voor het halssieraad dat je op de foto ziet was dat het een stoer maar vrouwelijk uiterlijk moest hebben. Ik schrijf altijd een persoonlijk berichtje aan mijn klanten. Of het nu om een boek, een sieraad of een woonaccessoire gaat.

I regularly receive requests to design a “special item” for someone. This is often a piece of jewelry. With a piece of jewelery, “The personal touch” is important. The customer comes with a question, a wish. It is important, by listening carefully, to translate the essence of the question into a design.
The goal is that both the customer and I will be happy with the end product. I think this is only possible by giving the whole process of question, design and creation a personal twist. The wish for the necklace that you see in the photo was that it should have a tough but feminine appearance.
I always write a personal message to my customers. Whether it is a book, a piece of jewelry or a home accessory.
